\u201cThe responsibility for distributing the Moni Karta<\/a> cards will lie with the bank,\u201d Minister of Social Affairs and Housing Diana Pokie said on Wednesday before the start of the Council of Ministers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

P<\/span>okie said that under the new contract with the Surinamese Post Savings Bank (SPSB), the distribution of these cards will be handled by the bank. Customers who have not collected their cards since October 2025 are being called on to do so. After this, the distribution of these documents will be handled by the SPSB.<\/p>\n

The minister said that, in order to reduce benefit fraud, it was decided to have the bank<\/a> distribute these documents. \u201cSo this is being outsourced.\u201d People who have not collected their cards since October 2025 will be given one final opportunity to do so.<\/p>\n

She finds it strange that so many people have not collected their cards. \u201cI think something went wrong somewhere; perhaps the people are in another system but on different cards.\u201d She found cartel-like practices and cooperation, involving significant manipulation of the Moni Karta cards. \u201cThe people do exist somewhere, but this has been arranged in such a way that fraud can be committed.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
