Leiding 9A police arrested 45-year-old D.R. on suspicion of seriously assaulting his wife. The man allegedly struck the woman several times with a belt while she was asleep.<\/p>\n
The victim, S.S.K., filed a report on Saturday, September 5. Preliminary police investigations indicate that the woman had earlier danced with an unknown man in a bar or caf\u00e9 and accepted alcohol from him.<\/p>\n
According to police, her husband became angry about this. The situation escalated after the woman refused to give him the man’s name.<\/p>\n
Later, while the woman was asleep, D.R. allegedly struck her several times across her body with a belt. She woke up startled, screamed in pain and ran out of the room.<\/p>\n
The victim sustained bruises on various parts of her body as a result of the assault. D.R. was arrested and remanded in custody in the interest of the investigation.<\/p>\n
