One of the suspects has been remanded in custody.<\/p>\n<p>Police received a report of the theft at around 7.45 a.m. The person in charge of the CBB office had discovered upon arriving at work that a copper pipe from the water installation had been cut through and taken away.<\/p>\n<p>Officers went to the location and, during the investigation, spotted a suspicious truck on the Ir. M.N. Ataoellahweg. The driver was ordered to stop. According to police, upon seeing the officers, he threw a plastic bag from the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>Two pieces of copper pipe were found in the bag, fitted with a plastic component from a tap on a durotank. According to police, the pipes matched those that had shortly before been taken from the CBB office.<\/p>\n<p>The driver, D.B., alias \u201cSkero\u201d, and his 46-year-old partner P.K., who was a passenger in the vehicle, were arrested and taken to Henar police station for questioning.<\/p>\n<p>Following consultation with the Openbaar Ministerie (Public Prosecution Service), D.B. was remanded in custody pending the investigation.
