According to the preliminary police investigation, J.A. allegedly fired two shots at a man using an illegal firearm. The victim was hit in his left leg.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation further revealed that the suspect and the victim had had an argument a few days before the incident. On the day of the shooting incident, the two encountered each other again, after which the suspect, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/politie.sr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">police<\/a>, shot the victim twice.<\/p>\n<p>After the shooting incident, J.A. left the location. The victim was taken by ambulance to the Emergency Department of the Academic Hospital Paramaribo, where he received medical treatment.<\/p>\n<p>After reporting to the police, J.A. was detained following consultation with the Public Prosecution Service.
