De Nieuwe Grond police arrested 36-year-old A.M. on Sunday, September 27, on suspicion of a residential burglary on Sarangistraat. A shoulder bag containing an amount of money in Surinamese dollars was taken from the home.<\/p>\n
According to police, the suspect allegedly entered the house by removing three louvre panes from a bedroom window. The resident discovered the theft upon returning home and immediately filed a report.<\/p>\n
Shortly afterwards, the resident obtained camera footage allegedly showing the actions of those involved. He handed the footage over to police, who subsequently launched an investigation.<\/p>\n
Officers found A.M. at the neighbouring address and arrested him there. Following consultation with the Openbaar Ministerie (Public Prosecution Service), he was remanded in custody.<\/p>\n
