Where provided for by law, violations may also affect their permit or driver\u2019s card.<\/p>\n<p>In a press release dated October 5, the ministry states that it has noted with concern that <a href=\"https:\/\/keynews.sr\/roekeloze-buschauffeurs-op-pl-en-po-route-krijgen-strengere-aanpak\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">drivers<\/a> do not always comply with the applicable rules in traffic. It mentions dangerous overtaking, speeding and ignoring traffic rules and traffic signs, among other things.<\/p>\n<p>According to TCT, reckless driving endangers drivers and passengers as well as other road users. The ministry emphasises that bus owners and drivers bear major responsibility because they transport people daily.<\/p>\n<p>Through the Transport Directorate, the ministry will work with the police and other relevant bodies to exercise stricter oversight of public transport operations. According to TCT, the traffic police check compliance with traffic rules daily and take action in the event of violations.<\/p>\n<p>The ministry will also take measures within its legal powers. Which measures are taken depends on the nature and seriousness of the violation. Administrative or other legal measures may be imposed.<\/p>\n<p>TCT calls on bus owners and drivers to behave responsibly and professionally.
