The arrest took place during a joint operation by an intelligence unit of the Korps Politie Suriname (KPS) and soldiers of the Nationaal Leger.<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>The police and soldiers were carrying out work in the area when the suspect was arrested. A check showed that the man was in possession of a revolver for which he did not have a valid permit. An ammunition magazine was also found.<\/p>\n<p>After his arrest, the suspect was handed over to the police in Bronsweg for further handling of the case.<\/p>\n<p>The identity of the suspect has not been disclosed.
