Following consultation with the Public Prosecution Service, the suspect was remanded in custody.<\/p>\n<p>According to police, the burglaries took place between October 19 and 22, 2026. The perpetrator is believed to have gained access to the temple by forcing open a window. He then made his way through the ceiling to a storage room, where various food items were taken.<\/p>\n<p>During a search operation in the area, police found a torn green garbage bag on a nearby plot. The bag contained part of the stolen food items. The recovered goods were seized in the interest of the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Further police investigation identified 21-year-old A.S. as a suspect. He was located and arrested on Monday, October 26, in the vicinity of Haryanaweg in Nickerie.<\/p>\n<p>Following his arrest, the suspect was brought before the authorities.
