According to Jogi, Monorath, who is now Minister of Justice and Security, was not authorised at the time to sign the agreement in question. The parliamentarian maintains that this may have violated the Wet TAS. He stressed that legal provisions must not be circumvented and that Monorath’s integrity is therefore open to question.
Jogi pointed out that several obligations have arisen from the agreement. He wants to know from the government how it will deal with these obligations and whether an official missive exists to justify the agreement. “What will the government do with the obligations? Where is the missive for this agreement?” the DNA member asked.
Jogi also made serious allegations concerning financial transactions within TAS. According to him, substantial sums of money were transferred from the telecommunications authority’s funds to the bank accounts of several third parties. The payments allegedly concerned work falling outside TAS’s tasks and responsibilities. “And it concerns millions paid from TAS funds to third parties for other work that has no connection to TAS,” Jogi stated.
The parliamentarian suggested that several people were involved in the alleged irregularities. However, he did not mention specific amounts or the names of the people who allegedly received the payments.
