The Wegenautoriteit began repair work on Tuesday, 3 November 2026, on the approach to the bridge on the Petrus Cairoweg, near Plantage Republiek in the district of Para. The work is expected to take about one week.

With the repairs, the Wegenautoriteit aims to improve the condition of the bridge approach and increase traffic safety and accessibility for road users.

During the work, traffic on the Petrus Cairoweg may experience disruption. The Wegenautoriteit therefore calls on motorists and other road users to exercise extra caution when passing through the work zone.

Road users are also asked to take possible delays into account during the implementation of the project. The Wegenautoriteit counts on the understanding and cooperation of road users and residents in the surrounding area.
