The police of Recherche Regio West arrested 44-year-old M.P., nicknamed “Noepie”, on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at his home address on R.P. Bharosstraat. The man is suspected of involvement in several burglaries at a business on the same street.
According to police, the burglaries took place between March 13 and September 3, 2026. Among the items stolen were gas meters, hoses and other accessories.
Following an investigation, M.P. was identified as a suspect. Detectives subsequently tracked him down and arrested him at his home address.
Following consultation with the Openbaar Ministerie (Public Prosecution Service), the suspect has been remanded in custody pending further investigation.
Police do not rule out that M.P., given the manner in which the burglaries are alleged to have been carried out, may also have been involved in other thefts in the ressort.
The investigation into this case is continuing.
