Screenshot 2026 09 17 082205 Two suspects arrested for theft of copper pipes at CBB Henar; one has been detained while police seized evidence for further investigation.

The police at Henar station arrested two people on Monday, September 14, 2026, in connection with the theft of copper pipes from the Centraal Bureau voor Burgerzaken (CBB, Central Bureau for Civil Affairs) on Pandanrijstweg in Henar. One of the suspects has been remanded in custody.

Police received a report of the theft at around 7.45 a.m. The person in charge of the CBB office had discovered upon arriving at work that a copper pipe from the water installation had been cut through and taken away.

Officers went to the location and, during the investigation, spotted a suspicious truck on the Ir. M.N. Ataoellahweg. The driver was ordered to stop. According to police, upon seeing the officers, he threw a plastic bag from the vehicle.

Two pieces of copper pipe were found in the bag, fitted with a plastic component from a tap on a durotank. According to police, the pipes matched those that had shortly before been taken from the CBB office.

The driver, D.B., alias “Skero”, and his 46-year-old partner P.K., who was a passenger in the vehicle, were arrested and taken to Henar police station for questioning.

Following consultation with the Openbaar Ministerie (Public Prosecution Service), D.B. was remanded in custody pending the investigation. P.K. was released after questioning.

The two pieces of copper pipe and the truck were seized by police in the interest of the further investigation.
