Severe wind gusts have blown roofs off homes at several locations in the ressorten of Latour and Geyersvlijt. The Nationaal Coördinatiecentrum voor Rampenbeheersing (NCCR, National Coordination Centre for Disaster Management) has been called in.
In Latour, reports have been made of damage to homes at Menkendam number 112 and Likkanoestraat number 12. In Geyersvlijt, the locations concerned are on Syenietstraat and Mazoniestraat.
The extent of the damage and the number of affected homes are not yet known. No information is yet available on any possible injuries or assistance to the affected residents.
