A 43-year-old worker with the initials S.C.G. died on Saturday afternoon, October 3, in an industrial accident in the Goliath area in Para. The man was struck by a falling tree while felling trees. It was his first day of work with the employer.
The victim was working with several colleagues when the accident occurred. According to initial information, he allegedly ran in the wrong direction as the tree fell. The exact circumstances are still under investigation.
A doctor pronounced him dead at the scene. A funeral company subsequently transported the body to the mortuary.
The Zanderij police are investigating the industrial accident.
