The Youth Affairs Police arrested a 30-year-old man on Monday, September 21, on suspicion of sexually abusing his 9-year-old sister.
The case came to light after an older brother of the girl filed a report on September 12.
According to the preliminary police investigation, the suspect had the girl stay overnight at his home without her mother’s permission. During that stay, he allegedly indecently touched and sexually abused her.
After consultation with the Public Prosecution Service, the man was remanded in custody. Youth Affairs is continuing the investigation.
