Suriname international Melayro Bogarde is attracting no shortage of interest. LASK Linz have rejected several bids for the 24-year-old defender and midfielder, sources tell VoetbalPrimeur.
Bogarde, a Feyenoord youth product and nephew of Winston Bogarde, has been playing for LASK Linz since mid-2024. The Surinamese player is developing extremely well in Austria. Alex Kroes, vice-chairman and co-owner of the club, has shown several interested parties the door together with the LASK Linz management. As transfer journalist Mounir Boualin previously reported, and VoetbalPrimeur can confirm, Fiorentina and Sevilla have been rebuffed.
Several other clubs, including AS Monaco, are also watching Bogarde with great interest. LASK Linz are demanding a transfer fee of nine million euros. A transfer towards the end of the transfer window is not ruled out.
Earlier this week, Bogarde once again put in an excellent performance. Playing as a holding midfielder, he featured for 120 minutes against Celtic. After a 3-0 defeat at Celtic Park, the Scots were beaten 5-1 in Austria, sending LASK Linz into the Champions League.
