Two men aged 27 and 29 have been arrested on suspicion of involvement in several burglaries at a home on Boma Polder Serie 3. According to police, the suspects have confessed to having been involved in the thefts. The stolen goods have not yet been recovered.
Two reports of aggravated theft and theft from the home were filed with the Santo Boma police in August and September.
Among the items taken were tools, including a drill, sander, digging spades and a brushcutter. A vacuum cleaner, shower tap, tiles, a fan and a quantity of chocolate were also stolen from the home.
During the investigation, police had camera footage on which two suspects could be identified. Following further investigative work, the men, R.A. (27) and D.D. (29), were traced and arrested by members of the Regio Bijstandsteam Midden (RBTM).
The suspects were then handed over to the Santo Boma police. During questioning, they reportedly confessed to having been involved in the thefts.
The stolen goods have not been recovered so far. Both men have been remanded in custody in the interest of the investigation.
The Santo Boma police are continuing the investigation and do not rule out further arrests.
