The police at Uitvlucht station arrested 28-year-old U.Q. on Sunday, September 20, 2026, on suspicion of indecent acts involving his 12-year-old foster sister.
According to the preliminary police investigation, the suspect allegedly subjected the minor victim, identified by the initials P.C., to indecent acts at her home on two occasions.
U.Q. was remanded in custody after consultation with the Openbaar Ministerie (Public Prosecution Service).
The case has been transferred to the Youth Affairs Department of the Korps Politie Suriname for further investigation.
