A 48-year-old excavator operator, D.D., died on Monday, August 31, during work in Irenevallen. He was fatally struck after a tree fell onto the excavator.
Police in Bronsweg went to the location to investigate after receiving a report of the serious workplace accident.
Preliminary police investigations show that D.D. was carrying out work with an excavator at approximately 9:28 a.m. During the work, a tree fell onto the vehicle, fatally striking the operator.
A doctor officially pronounced him dead at the scene. Following consultation with the Public Prosecution Service, the body was released to the next of kin.
