A 15-year-old girl died suddenly on Sunday, 13 September, at an address on Recifestraat. The exact cause of death has not yet been established. Police are investigating the circumstances under which the teenager died.
Police from the Munder station went to the address following a report to investigate. Upon arrival, officers found the lifeless body of the girl, identified as A.P. A doctor officially pronounced her dead.
Preliminary police investigations show that the girl suddenly experienced shortness of breath and lost consciousness during an intimate moment with her 15-year-old boyfriend. The boy then took her to an air-conditioned room in an attempt to revive her. She died shortly afterwards.
Police stressed that the cause of death is not yet known. On the orders of the Openbaar Ministerie (Public Prosecution Service), the body was seized for further examination.
The girl’s boyfriend was taken to the police station for questioning. The investigation is continuing.
