The police have detained 38-year-old L.C. after he allegedly drove a car at high speed towards his wife, according to her. The woman managed to avoid being hit by jumping aside.
The victim filed a report on Sunday, August 30. She stated that she has not lived with the suspect for several months.
Prior to the incident, L.C. allegedly struck the woman with his hands. A struggle then ensued, during which both ended up in a roadside ditch. Bystanders intervened and separated them.
The suspect allegedly then got into his car and drove at high speed towards his wife. The woman was able to jump aside in time and was not injured by the vehicle.
According to the victim, L.C. cannot accept that she ended the relationship and no longer wants to live with him.
The man is suspected of attempted manslaughter, attempted grievous bodily harm and assault. The Wanica Domestic Violence Department is continuing the investigation.
