The Narcotics Brigade arrested 28-year-old Z.V. on the afternoon of Friday, September 4, during a raid on a house on Bloemkoolstraat. Police found various types of drugs, precision scales and packaging material.
According to police, a block of hashish with a gross weight of 12 grams was found in the suspect’s trouser pocket. In the kitchen, officers found a bag containing 63 wraps of cocaine, with a combined gross weight of 25 grams.
A bag containing 140 grams of hashish was also found in a freezer. In a kitchen cupboard, police additionally found 9 grams of marijuana, five precision scales and packaging material.
The suspect’s vehicle was also searched. A ziplock bag containing 0.78 grams of cocaine was found on the driver’s side.
All drugs and goods found were seized in the interest of the investigation. Z.V. was taken to the police station and arraigned.
Following consultation with the Openbaar Ministerie (Public Prosecution Service), the suspect was remanded in custody pending the investigation.
