politie verkeerscontrole Van ’t Hogerhuysstraat’s eastbound lane will be closed overnight from October 24 to 25 for high-voltage cable work, resulting in a temporary traffic diversion between Havenlaan Zuid and Slangenhoutstraat.
Road users should take into account a temporary diversion on Van ’t Hogerhuysstraat during the night from Saturday, October 24, to Sunday, October 25, 2026. Due to work on a high-voltage cable, part of the eastbound carriageway will be closed to traffic.

According to the Korps Politie Suriname (KPS), the work will take place from 10 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, until 6 a.m. on Sunday, October 25. It concerns the section of road between Havenlaan Zuid and Slangenhoutstraat.

Police are calling on motorists and other road users to take the temporary traffic measures into account and to use alternative routes where possible.

Road users are also asked to strictly follow police instructions at the location in order to prevent traffic congestion and dangerous situations.
