VSB logo web 2 On 9 October, the VSB will discuss bottlenecks and priorities within the transport sector and elect new representatives to better advocate for affiliated companies.

The Vereniging Surinaams Bedrijfsleven (VSB) will hold a meeting of its Transport Sector Group on Friday, 9 October 2026. Current developments, bottlenecks and priorities within the transport sector will be central during the meeting. A group representative and a deputy will also be appointed.

Affiliated companies can raise points of attention during the meeting for advocacy by the VSB. Based on that input, the sector group will determine which issues can be jointly addressed.

The group representative and the deputy representative form the link between companies in the transport sector, the VSB board and the association’s office. The VSB calls on its members to participate in the meeting and nominate candidates for both positions. Nominations can be submitted to the VSB office by responding to the previously sent notice of meeting.

According to the association, the meeting is part of the further strengthening of its sector groups. Through this, the VSB aims to increase member involvement and more specifically incorporate issues from the various sectors into its advocacy.
