Police on Thursday, August 27, found the lifeless body of a woman in a hotel room in the vicinity of Calcuttastraat. According to preliminary medical findings, she is believed to have died of acute cardiac arrest.
The police of the Herman Gooding station received a report at approximately 12:32 p.m. that the woman was showing no signs of life. Officers went to the scene and launched an investigation.
Bruises and abrasions were observed on the woman’s legs. A doctor officially pronounced her dead. The police have not disclosed whether the injuries found were related to her death.
Although acute cardiac arrest is provisionally being considered, the exact cause of death and the circumstances surrounding the death are still under investigation. Further details will follow.
