The police in Paranam have arrested 42-year-old D.D.R. for seriously threatening his ex-wife and their seven children. The man allegedly threatened in voice messages to kill them and then himself.
The woman filed a report with the police on August 21. According to her, the suspect threatened to kill her through several voice messages. He allegedly also said that he would kill their seven children and then take his own life.
D.D.R. is also said to have gone to his ex-wife’s home several times. There, according to the woman’s statement, he behaved aggressively and caused a major disturbance.
The preliminary police investigation indicates that the suspect may be having difficulty processing the end of the relationship. Police arrested D.D.R. on Tuesday, September 8. Following consultation with the Public Prosecution Service, he was remanded in custody. Police in Paranam are continuing the investigation.
