The Road Authority Suriname is carrying out mowing and maintenance work at various locations across the country. Road users are warned of possible traffic disruption and asked to reduce their speed near work sites.
The work is being carried out in phases on various road sections in several districts. Tall grass, shrubs and other vegetation along the roads are being removed.
According to the Road Authority, the maintenance is intended to improve road safety and visibility for road users. Well-maintained verges also contribute to better drainage and a more orderly road appearance.
During the work, crews, mowing machines and other maintenance vehicles may be present along the road. This may cause traffic disruption at certain times.
The Road Authority urges motorists and other road users to drive with extra caution, reduce their speed and keep a sufficient distance from workers and equipment.
